It started with James Talarico, then moved on to Amy Acton, and Marcy Kaptur, and now Josh Turek has put out an awful, bigoted ad, and Adam Hamilton has made similar comments about not letting “biological men play women’s sports.”
Anti-trans policies aren’t popular. I don’t know who these asshole consultants convincing candidates to do this are, but I know all they care about is keeping their con going. They don’t care if they win or lose, they care how much of your money they can take.
There’s only one response to all the anti-trans hysteria the Republicans are trying to run on:
“This is ridiculous. Trans women are women, trans men are men, and the party of Nazi pedophiles is using trans people as an excuse to molest your children.”
If the Nazis are in power and the opposition party isn’t willing to protect the minorities the Nazis are targeting to deprive of personhood (or life), they’re not much opposition at all.
I was going to put up something about the Democrats trying to ratfuck Abdul El-Sayed, but then Haley Stevens just publicly endorsed his Republican opponent, and even the old guard of the party wasn’t having that bullshit.
And he understands the importance of standing up for trans rights. None of us are free until all of us are free.
